About the event
Join Barrington Garden Club members and friends for an enchanting journey "Through the Garden Gate" with celebrated speaker and author James Farmer. This delightful event features a sumptuous sit-down lunch, exclusive shopping boutique, and an engaging presentation by this beloved entertainer, designer, and gardener.
Two of James's best-selling books, Home Again and Celebrating Home are available for pre-purchase below. These books can be picked up at the event, and James will be available to sign your copy. A limited number of books will be available for purchase at the event.

Single Ticket
Your ticket includes lunch, soft drinks, and a complimentary glass of champagne or wine. A cash bar will be available to purchase additional drinks. Biltmore Country Club cannot accept credit cards. James Farmer's book, Home Again - A Return to Gracious Interiors is available for purchase for a discounted price of $44 including tax and fees. Recently published in September of 2025, this book captures the warm and layered approach to interiors for which James Farmer is known. The beautiful book features James’s home Farmdale Cottage, a sprawling estate in South Carolina’s Lowcountry, and a jewel box home in Martha’s Vineyard.
